Mockipedia:Community guidelines
These guidelines keep Mockipedia funny, consistent and harmless.
1. Deadpan point of view
Articles are written in the neutral, formal register of a serious encyclopedia. The subject may be ridiculous; the prose never is. Avoid jokes addressed to the reader, exclamation marks, and phrases like "hilariously".
2. Fiction only
Every event, person, organization, study and publication described as part of an article's subject must be invented or obviously absurd. Real places, countries and large institutions may appear as settings.
3. No real victims
Do not attribute crimes, scandals, illnesses, quotes or misconduct to real, identifiable people or real companies. Do not write about real tragedies, disasters or victims. Do not post private personal information about anyone.
4. Fictional sources
Cite invented sources with the citation templates, which label them as fictional. Never link real websites as if they supported invented claims; use example.org addresses or no URL.
5. Be civil
Discuss disagreements on talk pages, assume good faith, and sign your posts with four tildes.
6. AI-assisted articles
Drafts from the AI article generator must be read and edited by the person who publishes them. Generated articles are tagged so other editors can review them.
Enforcement
Edits that break these guidelines may be reverted. Repeated or serious violations can lead to blocks. Report problems with Special:ReportPage.
